Just an observation. You dont have to agree with it.

Few actual fans want Gus at Arkansas

Not sure they can be considered fans if they don’t want to win.

I’m being facetious, but you get my point. Most LSU fans didn’t want Orgeron either at first. Winning cures all.

Gus would win at Arky. National titles? ... probably not, but he’d get Arkansas back to competitive in the league for sure.

Well apparently people a lot higher up the food chain don’t agree with you.

Fans don't realize they have zero say in who is hired ...

you guys chastise every coach that has dealt with UA. Tubs, Gus, Nutt, Bobby,Jeff Long, etc

Not necessarily.

I never disliked Tuberville and Gus and Auburn were forever meant to be.

the buyout is the hindrance

Gus can be bought out for like 7m. He only has a huge buyout if Auburn fires him.

This makes me think you are just talking...

I would absolutely love for it to be true though

I'm surprised by the number of people thinking they'll take Kiffin. After the Petrino fiasco, I don't see them touching someone with that kind of baggage.

Word is the AD is real high on him and wanted to hire him at Houston.

We've had two chances to hire him and passed....3 times the charm.

Like Morris...he would be good for recruiting but the difference is he actually knows how to win games.

Most of us consider him overrated. He's struggling at Auburn with far more talent. How well would his offense work with less talent? We need all of the talent we can get and can't afford to have several players leave each year, as they do at Auburn.

This doesn't even consider all the other factors, like his previous stint in Fayetteville. I'll just note that I'd rather have Tuberville than Malzahn. Even better, hire Leach or Kiffin, as we might have last time, had the Gus cult not messed everything up.

Leach would be a grand slam hire IMO

Perfect fit and would do well

The more I think about it, Leach should absolutely be the hire

Although I do like the idea of a Kiffin/Orgeron alliance funneling all Texas recruits to either Arky or LSU

What is interesting from an outsider is how you guys chastise every coach that has dealt with UA. Tubs, Gus, Nutt, Bobby,Jeff Long, etc. At some point, you guys need to bear some of the responsibility. You even do it to kids that leave for better programs. It could be these guys/players don't want to deal with the current mess you guys have at your university.

This is totally untrue. Tubbs should have been the coach here instead of Nutt and would take him today. Same with Petrino.....would take him right now no questions asked.

Nutt is bitter sweet....he brought us some great years but also shite the bed every time we got within striking distance of anything meaningful.

All that said, Gus Malzahn and Jeff Long can go F themselves

I like how you think!

Right now, Leach and Kiffin seem to be the front runners, which means it probably won't be either of them.

Literally nothing said in the OP is true. The Gus support has flamed out at Arkansas, including those couple big money people that wanted him last time.

This is a fact of which I have firsthand information
