Thoughts on Cristobal? Top recruiter, offensive line guru, prior experience recruiting in SEC, has won at a high level at Oregon.

Is the prevailing thought he won't leave Oregon?

Not wild about him. Big win at Ohio State, then managed to lose to Stanford in Eugene. Pac-12 coaches haven't been great when moving to other P5 conferences lately.

He has a losing record at Oregon and is getting his white privileged dick sucked.

I like him and IMO he'd do well at LSU but I'm pretty sure he'd prefer the Miami job since he's from there.

I don't think you can discount the type of buzz LSU would generate from a hire like that. Cristobal would be a dynamic hire coming from a mega program and you'd get plenty of media love over it. Hiring big name coaches from big name schools doesn't happen often. I honestly think it'd be one of Mario's biggest selling points (we had this debate last season on the AU vacancy).

Franklin offers the same, albeit in a less exciting package. But both are guys who've been rumored to be shopping the last couple years and both - if they were actually willing to leave - provide the rare "stolen from another major program" cachet.

Basically a nicer version of O. Still needs coordinators on both sides of the ball. We need a guy that can lock down one side. The CEO model doesn’t work long term.
