And I damn sure hope so.

This USU mention of his name is a pipe dream for them considering his price tag.

Who else would chase him? TTU?

I know it's not really too comparable but smoke weed talk shite Lane Kiffin took a pay cut to go be a HC.

It happens. Same with Frank Wilson I think.

Hasn’t the word always been he doesn’t want to be a HC?

Everyone kept saying he isn’t an option for interim coach if O ever got canned

He has never said that. It's media folk who say that because he "doesn'tlike dealing with media.....he just wants to coach"

He does not seem interested in the media and booster obligations of being a HC. That doesn't mean he is not interested in being in charge.
There would be a lot less outside obligations at Utah State than a SEC program.

Tech has already made their HC hire. Unless you're talking about as DC?

more like he isnt interested in being a HC under alleva

the money is great but who is to say he wont run if the right job is offered and who can blame him, we are, as an organization, committed to being content with just being a good team rather then a great team

We get most of our team back and a hella easy schedule next season. Gets to go against his old friend Herman and a shot at getting revenge with Muffin for muffin owning him the last two seasons. All that said I think LSU wins 11-13 games next season and his phone rings off the hook

It’s because of this that I believe he doesn’t really want to be a HC. Some guys just don’t want to deal with all the bullshite that comes along with being the head man in charge of a program. To me DA seems to be that type of guy. He absolutely LOVES scheming and calling plays. I’m not saying he won’t ever be a HC one day, he very may will be one, I just don’t see him being a guy that wants all the added stuff that goes along with being a HC.

I think the USU chatter is his agent starting to get the buzz going.

Think they'll see who bites this year, and if nothing, they'll stay another season. He's absolutely gone after next season IMO.

I’m scared Oklahoma gives him a blank check.

Or even the KC Chiefs

Well your wrong, Mike D talked about it yesterday. He was told by a good friend of Aranda that he wanted to be a head coach.

Mike then spoke with him at a camp and Aranda confirmed he did want to be a head coach

To be honest, I don't know if Aranda would be a great head coach. He doesn't come across as someone who likes the spotlight. Being a head coach at a major D1 school is a huge task and drastically different than being an assistant! Yes, you get paid more money, but being the face of a program means dealing with boosters, fans, recruits, radio shows, promotions, not to mention you still have a team to coach. Oh yeah, your family has to understand they will rarely get any quality time with you, if they see you at all. Sounds harsh, but that's the truth! Fans see it from a distance, but being a head coach at a major program is a HUGE deal!

All this is you taking an observation about his demeanor and mapping it on to what you want. You guys hope he stays at LSU indefinitely to prop up Orgeron.

There are plenty of introverted head coaches that have had a ton of success. Every head coach isn't a "look at me" type of person.
