Aranda was LSU DC
His OC Grimes was LSU OL coach
His DC Ron Robert’s was SELU HC and ULL DC

Welcome home boys

With coaches like those three, the team would be fundamentally sound every game. They would be well prepared. And when a game inadvertently falls apart despite the best-laid plans, those coaches would still fight to try and salvage a game like this.

This is why I want Dave Aranda. He rises to challenges without all the bs. Deeds instead of creeds.

My point is the knock on Aranda has been recruiting. Both of his coordinators are very familiar with Louisiana recruiting.

Do you really need coaches that are familiar with LA recruiting? LSU recruits itself in La.

I think the point is our enemies to the east (Bama) and west (A&M) also have inroads into LA. Next coach has to tangle with that.

Ok, what did I miss? Last time I checked, Riley was coming.

Unsurprisingly, after yesterday's game more "insiders" are popping up saying it's Aranda.

CharlesLSU is claiming it's definitely not Riley, but won't really say much more than that. He posted a list of who it definitely wasn't.

Bama ain’t gonna be Bama in a few years.

I get your point. But we won’t be dealing with that monster much longer.

This has been roundly criticized and unsupported rumor that has taken on a life of its own. It comes from a quote that has been taken out of context. If he really didn’t recruit or recruit well, he would have eft for the NFL like Brady did.

What he said was he liked to teach and that recruiting took away from the time he got to scheme and coach.

He has brought in and taught some great linebackers which proves his abilities in recruiting and getting his message across to recruits. He puts linebackers and others in the NFL that normally wouldn’t get there with other coaches. THAT is how he recruits.

Isn't there a pretty good chance that Grimes could get a HC job somewhere?

Because most posters on here are dumbasses who love to fire people without looking at the root cause of the problem

Dabo walks in right after Saban and recruits the best too so Bama will continue forward

Dabo ain’t going to Bama.

His “home by 5:00” approach won’t go over well in Tuscaloosa. The first bad season (and they will have some) under Dabo and they would be ready to fire him saying “he doesn’t work hard enough”

Many think that if Aranda leaves, Grimes might be offered the Baylor job
