There's literally nobody our fans won't melt about (Longer)

There honestly isn't a candidate our fans wont melt about. Let's start from the biggest achievement a resume could have. A Natty. Five active coaches have this achievement on their resume.
We literally don't want any of them
Nick Saban- Non Starter
Dabo- Goofy clown. His crap only works in a weird, backward place like Clemson where they can drop bags through a mega church which plays into the whole program image they have there.
Jimbo- Literally nobody wants him on this board. The melt would be huge.
Ed O- We literally just shite canned a guy with a Natty because he was a high functioning moron ever since his divorce.
Mac Brown- Lol no.
So with that out of the way, there are literally no candidates that could "guarantee" a National Championship because none of the remaining candidates have done it.
James Franklin- Has a decent resume, but the majority here seem to think he probably isn't elite because he performs poorly against top Big 10 competition.
Mel Tucker- I actually think he has the most upside of any of the candidates being floated around. Do a deep dive on him past the wins and losses and I think he would for sure be more successful than Miles or Shrimp Boat Captain here. However no Coach with a 15-12 career record should honestly be on our list. We may derp ourselves into a good hire with him, but objectively he shouldn't be on the list of tier 1 candidates. With that said I truly think he'd do well here. I say this as someone who despises Critical Race Theory, and all this woke BS. Which is the main reason he's getting a look. As stated above we'd be derping into a good hire.
Dave Aranda- I think this is probably the best fit here, regardless of HC experience because lets be honest, he was running the show ever since 2016. He knows the place, the expectations. Our fans would melt like hell though because we didn't hire some mythical grand slam coach.
Lane Kiffin- He would have insanely good offenses here, would no doubt have success. However he's been flaky his entire career. Would be a meme of a coach, like we've been having since Saban left. No doubt half the fanbase would implode over this hire
Joe Brady- On the surface appears to be a slam dunk, but beyond that. He has zero HC experience, doesn't really like recruiting, and would perhaps bolt for an NFL gig one day. His panthers offenses are middle of the pack, but his personnel kind of sucks. It's hard to say how much of 2019 was him, and how much was Joe Burrow. This is the most polarizing hire because he could create a dynasty or fail spectacularly. It's the most exciting, but least safe hire. A ton of fans would melt.
Bill O'Brien- The melt would be so epic I won't even go into it
Billy Napier- Would probably do quite well here. But it's so common to see these hotshot G5 guys implode at major programs. Would be a major melt hire because we stooped down and hired a G5 Coach.
Bob Stoops- They would have to shut down Tigerdroppings
Luke Fickell- Would honestly probably have the least melt. He's not coming here, and if he did. He would probably bolt to Ohio St if Ryan Day ever left.
There's literally not one candidate out there, that is not going to cause a MAJOR FREAKING MELTDOWN brace yourselves for it. No matter who we hire. We will melt BIGLY because there isn't some mythical grand slam candidate short of Nick Saban coming back as a benevolent savior.
Whoever the next guys is, will probably win a Natty because the last two morons did it. So lets all just enjoy the ride.

Melt is not the question. It’s level of melt.

I think Aranda, Kiffin,Brady and Napier (yes, Napier) would cause the least amount of melting. I don’t see how Jimbo would cause a melt. He’s not my top candidate this go round but it’s a much better sell than Tucker

Good to know you have a short attention span. Similar to a mouse.

I actually don’t think we’d melt at all regarding Aranda. Especially if Baylor continues to have a good season.

The baws on this board love Bigly as word. I'm going to continue to use it.

I think he'd have the least melt for sure.

After Miles and O's sexual dramas, I think LSU will go super safe in the personality of the hires. With that said, I know very little about most of the coaches names being tossed around and even less about their character.

Fans would coalesce around aranda. He is still beloved here.

I don’t think people would melt about Riley.

If pleasing the fans is the goal, ask the average fan of 1999 time frame how enamored they were of Nick Saban hire at the time. Do the same with the early 1990's hire of Curley Hallman.
Fans are to success gauges what Coach O is to English language.

This is actually who it should be.

I think he has moved to my favorite candidate, although, I hope he would hire a top notch DC. That is the only issue I have with Big 12 candidates, save Aranda.

I actually feel like the majority would be fine with this. Dude is sharp, coaches a great defense, and will not make an arse out of himself and the program. He’s coached here before, and knows the expectations. He will be a top 5 head coach soon. Aranda would come with the least amount of melt IMO.
