those are fair reasons...also, I think he and the family like it here, and at some point, uprooting your entire family is not worth it.

Its definitely not worth it if your not making more money when taking on a program with as much rebuilding as UM needs.

Les Miles Edit | Reply UM didn't offer him I take it. Or didn't offer him in the ballpark of what our admin did with his new contract. Personally I would rather have Patterson or a Mullen for $4 or $5M a year. Don't know what the new contract looks like.

Your QB throws for less than 100 yards in four consecutive games and is about to lose his starting job. ESPN adds your QB to their poll of top QBs, no explanation can justify this except that ESPN hates LSU. Your fan base, who has been ripping the QB to shreds and booing him on the field, takes his back and votes until he wins the poll.
Which other fan base would do that?

Hmmmmm, highly unlikely but possible.

Because that is a reliable source on whether or not Miles was offered...

"He didn't get offered by Michigan and that's a fact, becoming clearer by the moment. Same as in 2007 when some people's hero didn't get offered."

That is how it works with gentlemen. Michigan wanted to offer, but the discussion goes like this, "If offered, will you take it?"
Miles: "No."
"Thank you."

All parties leave happy and no one has to say it was offered.

So he met with them but they didn't offer? Were you serving coffee at the Miles house to know this?

Just get over it and get behind the guy

he'd be unemployed in three years there, hell he apparently will work as long as he wants here. In the event he gets fired, he can blame it on overreaction of negafanbasetigers.

The whole "wasn't offered" is perfect for everyone.

-Les gets leverage with LSU brass
-UM can say they only interviewed Les
-ESPN can feel better about themselves

No, I'm saying he wanted to and all indications are that "Michigan wasn't in the ballpark" of what he wanted.

How much is he being paid now is what I want to know.

He wanted it, make no mistake.

MSC and LC wouldn't have him, though. Hell, maybe even DB was hesitant to offer.

LSU fans think way too much of Les. He didn't turn down UM in 2007, and it's likely he didn't turn them down last night.

He was simply never offered.

And now, the man of great class and integrity got Alleva and the entire athletic department to bend over just a little more.

He'll be here for years to come, despite his W-L record from this point forward.
