The truth is, it’s easier to coach at OU than LSU

LSU is the better program in a lot of ways. But the one way it’s not is the level of competition every year. You are judged by your performance against the greatest college football coach of all time who is on your schedule every year. On top of that the SEC has gotten tougher with all the good coaches in it now. The reality is if you fail at LSU you have to start your climb all over. The expectation here is extremely high as well.

In my opinion, some coaches just don’t want to take that gamble. But the coaches who are confident should want that type of pressure.

Yeah but they still have like 3 years before that. And who knows what the divisions will look like then. Alabama May end up in the east since OU and Texas most likely go into the west. So he may be able to avoid that all together.

My only point is I can guarantee that thought does go into some of these coaches minds

Your response is dumb. They aren’t moving into the SEC next year. They have a date set for that and it’s in 2025

You will believe anything you read….just because they are contracted to 25 doesn’t mean they will stay. Most think they move next year.

No, the amount of money they would have to pay is probably the reason they don’t move. Most don’t believe that they will move next year. You are just making shite up. Stop being a conspiracy theorist.

You don't think getting bounced every season is going to become an issue?

No it isn’t. They will be in the SEC in the next couple of years.

Waiting for the other teams to blink so they don't pay the break up fee.

BTW, Les Miles was at LSU for 10 years?

Think about that.

This O firing is not the norm.

Not really sure why anybody is saying that. The official announcement is 2025. Until there is an official announcement saying otherwise they are joining in 2025

They’re about to buy out of the big 12 and into the SEC. They’ll be facing the same level of competition as we do.

I’d love to see a source to that. Everything I have seen said 2025.

do you even follow realignment? Of course that's the official date, because that's when the big 12 deal ends.
But other teams in the big 12 are faced with a decision to ride it out until then, forcing ou and TX to pay massive break up fee or fend for themselves and look for a new home which would reduce that amount. The latter is more likely

Coaching at La Tech is also easier than OU so should that be where Riley should go?

The real question is which school is it easier to actually win the national championship?

The only way LSU is NOT a better job than OU is due to fan expectations. That’s why Jimbo won’t leave aTm and Dabo would never leave Clemson for Alabama. These schools pay top dollar and you’re not expected to win a national title every few years.
