At this point, Texas is a completely lateral move - possibly a downgrade. Why go to another conference when you have already dominated in the toughest one. I hate Bama with my undying breath but Texas isn't a better gig. I'd expect him to make another run in the NFL before moving to another conference. How much more money could he ever need?

Saban is 65 years old. He can give you what, 4 good years? I'd rather take the chances with Herman. It's more of a gamble, but it could potentially be great in the long run.
