I agree. Plane tracking during a coaching search is always a joy to watch. Good times.

Maybe he meant the plane would head out west to speak with Hoke if les said no.

Seems like if Les said no, LSU would be out with a statement ASAP to end this nonsense (and any potential impact to recruiting).....
or maybe Les wants to make the statement himself at the convention tomorrow?
It goes with the "I represent me" statement prior to the 2007 SECCG

Les miles was not on the plane....... Now what's next? What does this mean?

Come on guys be real. The plane went to Dallas for 2 days and worked out the contract details. Then they came and presented it to Les. He accepted an they are going back to plan the announcement in Ann Arbor.
It's over, we have our own search to deal with now.
Or, UM threw everything at Miles but the kitchen sink. After discussing it with his family, and mulling it over, he said "thanks, but no thanks, I'm happy here". Then, he drove them to the airport to go back home and regroup.

I'd think the plane would return to dallas to put more feelers out at the convention if Les said no
Or Brandon could go back to AA to discuss the next step with the Michigan BOS or whoever else is involved. I don't think he needs to be at the convention to find a coach. They can find agents names without being in Dallas.

they already have another plane at the airport I thought.. maybe thats the one they will use to get to Dallas tomorrow?

There will be a plane taking Miles to Dallas, but it is not here yet.
Are you telling me that there will be THREE fricking planes in Baton Rouge that are certainly, or loosely affiliated with the University of Michigan?
Yep, he's staying...

They could set up a booth with a stack of applications

I think that if he took the job he would be on that plane for an announcement first thing in the AM.

Any idea who's plane is coming to take Les to the convention? That should give some hint as to what is going on.

I was told the Dominos plane is the smokescreen. No one is on it. Or no one worth mentioning anyway.
For what purpose?
You are acting like Miles needs to escape from Baton Rouge.

Nah, they wouldn't need to. Like it was said earlier in the thread, Hoke probably has paid for a a ticket on every flight to Detroit in the next 5 days. They could send him a fricking FB message and he'd accept.

and was the team meeting called for brandon to tell the players "we got nothing?"

I am so confused. I don't know what to make of Brandon only being in town for a few hours.

Ive offered my King to Les, waiting on callback now. I'll post when/if his people hit me back.

Wasn't Petrino introduced at like 11pm? And didn't kiffin sneak out really late? Why wouldn't Les be on that plane to Michigan to be announced?
ETA: I'm agreeing with you by the way, haha. I reread that and realized it may have sounded like I was disagreeing.

But why must they fly out right away? Wouldn't they hole up in some comfortable hotel room, have whoever it is that sets up meetings set up a meeting with Hoke, kick back and watch the BCSCG, and fly out in time to meet with Hoke? Or are they supposed to meet with Hoke tonight if CLM says no? Seriously, I think they'd either go back home or sit in place until a meeting with someone else.
Did they fly out to meet with CLM after Harbaugh said he was all NFL? No, obviously not, so I don't see why...IF top UM men were on the plane and IF CLM said no to them...that they'd immediately fly out to the west coast (makes them seem a little desperate, IMO).

This is what I was wondering about. Dominos took off, maybe with Brandon and co. because they got their guy. The big arse M plane may be taking Miles to Dallas tomorrow and then up to AA for an announcement. I am wondering why this plane is still sitting on the runway.
