How much fun would it be the past few weeks if it was still on the air? Between the coaching changes and speculation, Alabama's rise, Florida's confidence, the disappointment of LSU, Auburn and Georgia.
It would be great.

Yeah, but something tells me 90% of the callers would have been 'Bamma and Ole Miss fans (wasn't it based out of Miss.?).

Just go find a dusty old vinyl copy of Ah Via Musicom by Eric Johnson, let the first track play through, then when the intro starts on track #2 (Cliffs of Dover), the memories will flood right back. (Or get the CD.)

that was a pretty good regional show ....
Scott McKinney, the host, was arrested on March 7, 2008 for investment fraud, theft and racketeering.

Oh yea. In 2001 or 2002 I went to see Derek Trucks play in a club just south of DC. I didn't realize that Derek was opening for Eric Johnson (whose name I thought I knew but couldn't place). I stayed and heard EJ play, and when he played "Cliffs of Dover" I realized all at once who the guy was (and thought of the year I spent in Shreveport listening to Conference Call on the radio when I would drive home from work) . . .

Scott Mckinney is still on the radio doing an afternoon sports show (mainly SEC, but some ACC as well). I am pretty sure it's called Southern Sports Tonight. He is broadcast out of Fort Walton Beach, Florida on 98.1 The Ticket.
He is out of jail as of now. I am not sure when he is supposed to go to trial, if at all.

Damn, you are right. Doesn't look like it is syndicated though.

Conference Call morphed into Southern Sports Tonight at some point several years ago. But then SST went away as well. Not sure what happened. I think Conference Call was cancelled, and McKinney started SST and syndicated it on several stations in the South....Maybe he's trying to get it going again after his legal troubles?

Yeah, but it went off air when Scott went to jail. Now that he is out he must have cranked it up with a new co-host.
