I'm not in favor of Ensminger but one of the biggest points people keep throwing around is how bad LSU was vs good defenses that year. Bama - yep, no argument.

Florida? I totally disagree. Yes, they only scored 10, but why is that?

1. Guice fumbled on the 7-yard line
2. Guice runs the wrong damn way on 4th down on final play
3. They botched an easy FG
4. Another time they got to the 4 and had to kick a FG (red zone play calling could possibly be criticized here as I don't remember the plays)

Not to mention giving up a WTF TD by Donte Jackson (very similar to the Citrus Bowl where he just gets rag dolled).

Oh and don't forget O's dumb arse decision to play an obviously injured Fournette.

LSU dominated on offense 423 yards to 270 and holding possession for 34:02.

That's not on Ensminger.

We called a time out before the last play and our RB didn’t know which way to run.

If that happened under les we would hear about if for a decade.

People will down vote but that is true . But my opinion still remains as I don’t want Ensminger as OC

I agree. I don't want him either. But it's just false to say the offense couldn't move the ball against Florida.

Now you can argue they didn't score which is totally true but I put that on the players. Guice blew it and Ogre was a tard for playing Fournette.

And yet people are ecstatic about 325 yards vs Bama (or whatever the total yardage was)

You forgot: "Dumbass Orgeron gave touches to an obviously injured Fournette, who actually hindered the team and squandered several plays that could have gone for big yardage"

These kinds of threads are making me start to think those dumbasses really are about to make SE the new OC.

If you are going to stick to facts, why not also mention that we were held to 10 points by a thinned out, injury ridden Florida team that was missing several key starters.

Yea but #4 is the only one you could try to pin on the OC. And still it could be player frick ups.

Point is Guice and Donte, the 2 guys I will miss the most next season, had HUGE frick ups in that game last year that ultimately cost us the win.

Considering they gave up over 30 and 50 to FSU and Bama the next two weeks, you have a point....

That entire game was weird. It started with the amateur hour fiasco with Fournette and O's complete inability to manage him.

We got our season average yards-per-game against the #5 ranked defense in the nation. Coach E sucks. He should have never given the ball to a Heisman contender.

It's also a myth that Florida defense was good. Gave up 30+ 4x in 2016. Padded their defensive stats against really bad teams.

LSU managed 10 points against a defense that was missing several starters.

The only thing SE has going for him is that it wasn't "his" offense. He was just using Cam's playbook and calling a different game. No one knows what he'll do so I guess he deserves the benefit of the doubt; however, it's a terrible hire because every call he makes is going to be over-scrutinized and only a year ago publicly stated he did not want the job. That latter doesn't exactly inspire much confidence. I'd prefer someone who is hungry and out to prove something rather than a guy who seemed to put his career on cruise control 20 years ago.
