Absolutley not! Miles understands he made the wrong call with promoting from within - common practice - and is making sure that he get the right guy with the right additional staff on board. I suspect he annouced ( at the same time ) all of the staff changes.

Guys, Crowton wasn't hired until mid-JANUARY 2007. Somehow we survived.

This thread and your lack of understanding on how to make professional leadership and staff changes is tiresome.

couldn't agree more. all these "CEOs" want everything done yesterday. There is a reason why Skip hired Miles instead of hiring you [rantards].

Les didn't "screw up" when he hired Crowton and Pelini.

Les didn't "screw up" when he tossed R.P. off the team, leaving us without an experienced QB.

Les didn't "screw up" when he promoted from within.

Les raised the Crystal Ball last year and with continued great recruiting and better defensive effort, he'll raise another Crystal Ball within 3 years again.

Book It.

I don't necessarily expect a HIRING to be made this soon, but a FIRING would be nice. As of now, the two morons are still on our staff.

Les made a decision that is a very traditional decision in promoting from within. He did screw up by not promoting one of the two to a single coordinator postion. Secondly, neither performed well and that is why he is making a change to bring in an experienced coordinator. In coaching, business, and any organization, you never are 100% with the staff you bring in. We will be fine.

This shows your lack of getting it Stew. All of these coaches are basically like inbreds. Miles comes out and blows some folks out as you would like, the other inbreds he might be considering would say "well he might treat me like that". Look no further than Syracuse ex HC Robinson. "I've got to find my guys other jobs before I find one for myself" is basically what he said. The same is done at many many schools within this inbred fraternity.

Chill out, changes will be made. You may not like them even then but they will be made.

No, I understand it just fine. I know that Miles made a complete blunder by waiting too long the last time and we were pretty much "stuck" with Mallveto. I just don't want that to happen again. The longer he waits the more you will see potential candidates finding other jobs or getting raises at their current jobs.

No other coach is acting like this!
A defense is not that complicated and can be installed quickly. If we have any hope of beating GT he needs to move now. When we hired Crowton we were not in the dire straights we are now. P&M had alot of talent and were not up to the job. This team needs hope! Unless he moves quickly we will get slaughterd by GT and lose out on the best DC'S.

First, why would you want a simple defense?

Second, even a simple defense takes time to install and learn. More than 3 weeks.

This isn't high school football.
