Upcoming, young and hungry coaches like Alex Golesh or Eric Morris should be considered. The upside potential is probably bigger than established coaches looking for a fat paycheck for retirement like BK, Riley.

Well apparently Florida is offering Kiffin 15 million, so why would LSU think 14 million would be acceptable if they are trying to get their number one target?
If you getting paid that much... how much is actually enough? I would think a place that can draw bigger talent and get you a natty faster would be worth $1M.
Besides, this board already said that Lane's son was going to enroll at U High.

He was offered under Ed O to leave Cincy and be the DC, he went to ND instead. Good job dogging someone without all the facts though.

LSU selling him on having full control
Well, that’s a pretty tough sell right now.

and unlimited NIL support.
This would be a much easier sell.

Issues obviously are around timetable with Lane and Ole Miss playoffs bound. Nowadays you want to have a coach and staff to help recruit transfers and keep guys remaining on the roster.
This is unfortunately going to be the new norm with the expanded playoff and every school thinking they have a seat at the table now. Timing sucks for all entities involved.

Frank Wilson has to hold the line.

Right now it’s a narrow list
It needs to expand. shite happens and we have to be prepared for all contingencies. We may wind up with a great coach who goes on to have great success. But I bet most are going to be disappointed with the initial announcement. Just not enough coaches you’d want that will be willing to move. Because the main reason you want them is because they are having success at a place that will likely do whatever they can to keep them.
We’ll see. This has been and will continue to be fascinating regardless.

LSU people aren’t mad at Freeman for taking the ND job. They are a little in their feels with how he handled an interview in 21’ and his wife dogging on BR. Also with how he poached Denbrock. Although he wanted to be closer to family.
Might be petty, but that’s how stuff like this works.

Freeman as mentioned burned some bridges, will not be him. Although he and verge are close. Wont be accepted by big money boosters
What’s this about??

I am hearing that LSU has offered Kiffin 7yrs/ 120 Mil.

Lane still has an offer on the table from LSU. I’ve been told close to 14 million.
Seems a slight difference here. Great inside sources!!

I wouldn’t believe any of this stuff personally. Although apparently Kiffin loves Florida. That in itself would elevate them from LSU. If the people who are making hires don’t realize this then that’s a whole nother animal

In an earlier post he alluded to it being from “the last search.”

Saw some Drink noise, and I believe LSU would have to strike out on several candidates. Likely Drink trying to get himself a raise if anything.
That clown Drinkwitz is the 11th highest paid coach in the country. Trying to get a raise in a clown world. He is not a top 25 coach. Let mizzou overpay for his dumbass

Auburn is looking seriously at Dillingham supposedly as well. Will be interesting to see if they have that ability to pull him from his Alma mater
If Kiffin either stays at Ole Miss or takes the Florida gig, and Auburn manages to get Dillingham, then we will likely be left with either Drink or Sumrall, neither of which excite me. I don't want Riley. I'd rather us take a chance on Alex Golesh. I just can't shake the sinking feeling that LSU is gonna screw this up and we will end up with the least appealing hire of all the SEC schools.

What so funny, Kiffin has said this himself, the only fact about any of this stuff

I’ve already prepared myself for just this.

This is pure speculation.
