I can't help but collect trivia. Not only do I like the guy, but here's tidbits - eery connections to the current and two most recent HCs of LSU:

-He immmediately preceded former LSU coach Gerry Dinardo as HC at Indiana.

-He immediately followed former LSU coach Nick Saban as HC for the Miami Dolphins.

-He was in current LSU coach Les Miles' wedding.

Combine that with the possibility of an NFL lockout next year and the stars could be aligning. I'm not sure what to think of him as a recruiter, but NFL experience as both a QB coach and OC will be enough to break the ice with most recruits with NFL aspirations (which, coincidentally enough is many of our QB recruits and virtually all of our WR/RB recruits).

Reasons I would love the Cam hire:

1. He's had success in the NFL.
2. It weakens Baltimore.
3. I like his offense.
4. I like his personality.
5. It weakens Baltimore.

Hiring Cam Cameron would be hitting it out of the park, out of the stadium, into the apartment building across the street, on the rise. How realistic of a chance do we have of getting him and do we know if he's really on Les's list?

They also coached together at Michigan.

Cam was on the sidelines during the 07 Championship game.

Cam also was Phillip Rivers OC... We have his lil bro committing...

this thread makes me wonder how retarded UF message board posters sounded when they first started rumoring about getting Weis

He had some free time on his hands with the field being artificial.

He's not an LSU guy and has said as much.

So yes someone who is a close friend of Les's is spending time on a message board talking about him.
What are his motives? I don't know and don't really care. Maybe just to keep the record straight.
Do I think for sure Belowpar is Cam Cameron? No.
But I think he and Les are likely connected through the coaching profession and trade information about coaches and advise each other.

And theres this interesting bit of info in light of the prior thread I linked.

Yeah he was looking at Ted Ginn, Jr. who he wasted a draft pick on, but also if I remeber right there was some weird connection between the two of them

Maybe you are on to something...for those who said Les calculated the whole restructuring for respect :)

In all seriousness - you think we ever find out who Below Par really is?

If you want to buy a car, you make it seem like you're just not sure...then it's "what will it take to get you into this car?"

If Gonzales comes right out and says he'll take it there isn't much room for negotiation.

For this reason I hope we don't hire him
