This is ONE positive about last year's debacle. We actually learn something from the pathetic emotional Les meltdown and not boo whoo over O this year.

They wanted to keep Miles. Unfortunately our players have bad tastes in coaches.

They learned their lesson last year.
If there isn't a scheduled press conference tomorrow, we're safe. Saturday is probably Herman and mostly safe. Same for Sunday -- next Saturday.
No coach by next Saturday...? Panic.

Players love their coach. It's not embarrassing, it's good and expected. They're supposed to love the coaches who recruited them and spend time with them. It'd be weirder if they chanted "we want Herman" right there in the locker room.

Players almost always rally behind their current coach. It's the nature of the beast.
Alleva had a vision derailed last year by political interests. It won't be a repeat. If Coach O is hired as permanent HC it's because Herman, Jimbo, Gundy, Fedora, et al, have declined.
