But how would they get the Rant's opinions on the guy if it doesn't leak?

There are few secrets any more. For all the big hires going on, all the candidates and interviews have been publicly known.
Every position coach and coordinator candidate at Alabama, Texas, Michigan, etc., have all been known and discussed in advance.
Some were hired, some were not. Yet the advance knowledge played no role, just as it’s played no role at LSU.

They need to walk him into the facilities with a bag over his head for his interview so nobody knows his true identity.
