His KSU record is meh. But its KSU. Hes done pretty much what is expected at that school.

He has PROVEN he can build and sustain success. He did it for years. Multiple FCS natties. And with Louisiana recruits?

It would be an absolute shame if (when O is fired) we didnt interview this man.

Winning a natty isnt a problem. Staying at the top is. Klieman knows how to stay at the top.

There isnt a single knock in this guy. His offenses are varied and effective.

K state is 4-5 we dont need that type of coach he got railed by Iowa state WVU and Texas

I would rather Napier I wasnt to begin with but I think napier could make lsu a consistent contender which means top ten every year fighting for a playoff spot

Also hes young so if he pans out we might have him for a while saying he does not go to the NFL

Napier Also can build a great staff, Recruit, and has a great scheme

No offense to K-state coach I just think Napier is to of a hot commodity right now and he is our most likely pull when O proabably gets fired this offseason

Napier doesn’t seem like the type to want to coach in the NFL. He always talks about how he really just wanted to be a high school coach like his dad. I think he enjoys mentoring younger players.

Thats why I want him at LSU. Could you agree with this, Doesnt he remind you of Saban. His attention to detail is crazy and I bet you he would recruit well he could very well build a championship program at LSU if he comes here

He has pretty much copied Alabama’s entire process but has done it without making everybody miserable. He’s incredibly organized and detail oriented. You can tell how much the players love and respect him, too.

I sometimes get frustrated by his play calling but I would be SHOCKED if he wasn’t successful at a bigger school. One sign that we have a staff full of good coaches is that we always play better in the second half. Our staff does a great job of making adjustments.

Exaclty, It would be so cool to see him at LSU he would be #1 on my board just because of him being young and all and he knows how to adapt to the game

Hes in a conference with some heavy hitters at K-State. You cant fault him for his record there.

Its probably stupidly hard to recruit good players to that school.

Plus Napier has worked under Saban and Dabo.

Is it Kliemann or is it the infrastructure at NDSU? They won a lot before him and they've won a lot after him too.

Both.

Bohl has done a pretty good job at Wyoming too. Kliemann is a good coach as well but of course NDSU is already a powerhouse.

I have Campbell and Fickell slightly above Napier, but I would be fine with any of those three. All three are a crapshoot IMO.

Agreed. This would be the three I’d interview. I don’t think you lose with any of the three, but we’d have to give them at least three years to right the ship after all of the bs finally goes away. Out of the three, I think Napier would be the most likely to want to come here being were probably going to go a couple of seasons without any kind of a post-season.

Napier was fired by Dabo in 2010 due to lack of offensive production.

Let’s calm down on the “he spent time with Dabo and Saban” narrative.

He was fired at OC by Dabo.. Saban didn’t want to promote him twice so he followed other coaches elsewhere.

I like him as a candidate. I like Campbell better. But I wouldn’t hate Napier.

I think that’s kind of why he wants to get into an ACC program that has a shot at toppling Clemson. USCe was a possibility because of their annual game with Clemson.

If I’m honest, I have no clue. But I’ll say the Sunbelt to the SEC is quite the jump for a young head coach.
