As previously mentioned, Tucker would not be my first choice. But to suggest he and his team are not having an exceptional season relative to their talent is just not an objective performance assessment

Your hate for Tucker is pretty impressive. Did he kill your dog or bang your lady?

Yeah. You would need about $7M to entice him. Last week he was worth that. This week he isn't worth the $5.5M that the Spartans are paying him.

I knew the Tiki Torch brigade would be out in full force tonight.

So, Democrats? I'll just assume you're trolling.

Boogeyman Mel lost a game. Ahhhh

He lost a game because his swiss cheese defense finally caught up with him. For a defensive specialist, they haven't been good all season. For an LSU head coach candidate, his resume is very lean and unremarkable.

There is really no good reason for us to be discussing him as an option on this board.

Oh cool. They are having one good season and just got their shite pushed in by the 2nd team they faced with a winning record.

Tonight should be a reminder that LSU is always a QB away. Would be nice to have a coach that could stack QB talent and isn't afraid to make a switch if needed. I don't see Tucker as a guy who stacks QB talent. I'm sorry I just don't. I don't even think he is a good defensive coach.

I am infuriated by the QB play tonight and not going to another option.

We should have won that damn game. Regardless of everybody else being out. If we just had serviceable QB play we win.

I just don't want to go down the route of not trusting QBs. If LSU can't pull Riley or Fisher then I wish they would get an Urban or Freeze. Optics be damned. I am so disgusted by this loss tonight.

Out of all of the names that are seriously being thrown around for the LSU head coaching job, Mel Tucker is possibly the last out of all of them that I would want LSU to hire. Dude has overachieved in 1 season at Michigan State, and isn’t very good at all in my opinion.

Those same people would be happy to have Aranda. So, no, it’s not the same thing.

He is a defensive back guru! Kirby wished he still had the great Mel Tucker on staff!
