Seriously, these guys have come up for 20 years or more. I’ll believe it when either are actually hired.

Robiskie appears to be closer to retirement than a top college assistant/recruiter. He is 1 and done at his last two jobs.

They're probably old enough to be in serious consideration now.

Tyke is actually perfect, as he is around 50 which is the same approx age of Raymond. Robiskie- negative.

After being snubbed multiple times for HC and OC interviews, why would Terry Robiskie return to LSU as a position coach ? I have heard that he had a difficult time when he played here (He did not like Mac or Mac did not like him ) and suffered through some negative experiences while a player/student. I think there is a reason the guy has been back to LSU for any events , let alone why he didn’t send his sons here to play ball.

He was fine with Mac. He was upset he got passed over in '95. Joe Dean told him we needed a big name coach and obviously Gerry wasn't that. Throw in Pat Sullivan, who also wasn't a big name, and I'm sure Robieskie felt he wasn't given a fair shot.

I can remember Robiskie playing at Second Ward High School in the early 70's.

Robiskie will never be at LSU.

quote:

Another regret for Robiskie is being passed over for the LSU job in 1995. If he had been hired, Robiskie would have been the first black coach in the SEC, nine years before Mississippi State tabbed Sylvester Croom. That has caused distance between Robiskie and his alma mater, but not a total divorce nor a diminishing of feelings about his time at LSU. "I'll always pull for LSU," he said. "But things change, and I'm not in touch that much. "But I loved and respected my coaches and my teammates, and I always enjoyed my time there. I'm always proud to say I went to LSU."

You're basing this on a 6 or 7 year old quote?
