I think Brohm is a future star and a great candidate.

Hearing that #USC OC Tee Martin, a #Vols legend who led UT to a national title, has a legit shot at the #Tennessee HC vacancy in the wake of yesterday’s mess.

Brohm should jump on this. Tennessee is still a high caliber job with most of the institutional infrastructure you need to win today.

Big Ten west is horribly weak. At Purdue you only need a major bowl once every ten years and avoid going 5-7. Smart scheduling in a weak division means you should get 7 wins every year at least and get a bowl game.

We can continue to schedule Mizzou under the guise of scheduling an actual P5 team.

MSU fans tried to make the same argument for Mullen. These guys don't live to win 8 games a year, they want to compete at the highest level

It took UF 6-7 million to get Mullen...

I don't expect Brohm to be in West Lafayette for very long, but I'll be stunned if he goes to UTK. Purdue is a fine place to camp out for a much better job.

would bring in Martin. It is all about recruiting and keeping the fan base happy. There is no losing by the AD by brining in a big time former player.

UT is actually very fortunate that they have an alum who is a legit up and coming coach. He will likely take the job, and who knows. He could end up being good. It’s a big jump from where he is to UT, but he will likely be a lot better than the alternatives they’d be left with at this point.

I was already thinking the same way about Norvell last year. It’s still a little early for both to make that big of a jump, but both look and act the part.

Is he? What about Chip Kelly? He chose a "lesser" school

Chip Kelly chose the biggest sleeping giant in college football. I have a feeling they won't be looked at as a lesser school for very long.

How much did Sexton have to do with this false revelation about Schiano’s PennState stuff? Does he and Saban want Tee Martin instead of Schiano?
I’d say yes. Saban doesn’t want UT to be a physical, tough minded team, which would most assuredly be the case if Schiano were in charge.

Would take the Louisville job over Tennessee. And leave Purdue in a heartbeat when Petrino bolts. He is waiting to get back in the Commonwealth.

e simple fact is Purdue could and would easily match any offer that UT would drag up. Brohm stands to make over $4mil from his incentives this year. Do you really think he'd hop to your shitty situation for $5mil? Only to be pushed out in 4 years because he's only say, w

Please stop. My whole family went to Purdue and I went to Purdue for a year. Your out of your damned mind if you think Purdue and their so called “sugar daddies” could ever compete and get in a bidding war vs Tennessee. Tenner and their cash daddies would crush Purdue and it would not be a contest...and please try not comparing facilities...y’all can spend all the money to put lipstick of the pig that is Ross Ade Stadium...it will still be a dump.

Like I said, he is waiting for Louisville to open up. He would crawl across the Ohio River to get far away from West Lafeyette.

Money is just not going to be a factor with how much cash these universities make from network deals. Not a school in the Big 10 anyway.

Does UT have more money? Sure. Are they going to offer a deal that Purdue wouldn't match? No

If I'm Brohm I don't take the UT job. They have no leadership. Complete shitshow. He'll leave Purdue if he can, but no reason to jump so soon and not for that disaster.

I am agreement with you. Brohm is not going in that nuclear meltdown in Knoxville. I am just telling Mr Boiler that Purdue will never...ever match or offer a coach top dollar...the are known to be extremely cheap and talk a big game of improvements to facilities...blah...blah...blah. Brhom is using Purdue as a stepping stone for the Louisville job. The Card job is his dream job. It’s his home town...his whole family is there. I have a feeling Petrino is leaving UL this year...and I have a feeling Purdue is looking for a new football coach.

Our old AD was cheap. That’s why he was forced to retire by the University President and we brought in a new AD and coach to make changes.

If we were cheap we’d have never hired Brohm. If we were cheap we wouldn’t have the 4th highest assistant salary pool in the conference.

Ross-Ade needs some help, but the rest of our complex is top notch. The stadium improvements are coming.

We used to not spend money because we used to not have $$$. We don’t really need sugar daddies who control the AD when we can do just fine with $50mil in TV money every year. I’m sure Brohm appreciates coaching at a place where boosters have no say in how he runs his program.

I agree that Brohm leaves us for Lousville because it’s his alma mater.

I just don’t see an offer that another program would throw at him that we couldn’t match without that connection.
