As of right now it doesn’t seem like Gundy has any grounds to sue us, so we’re doing better...

If Tenn could have gotten Gundy in the first place, why the hell did they even talk to Schiano? Do Currie and Schiano have some sort of history?

Nope, now that we are drunk at the blackjack table with a load of cash, it’s time to throw our weight around and call some big name coaches

Tennessee has tried that. It failed.
It should have been Mike Leach from the start.
Avast, 'tis time!

A large donor has history with Schiano and directed the hire to Curriez
That donor is the owner of the Cleveland Browns
That’s right, the Cleveland Browns owner was dictating our program’s future

It doesn’t sound like they reached out to anyone before Schiano was offered, maybe Mullen. Haslam dictated the hire and that was that. We are just now reaching out to people

Maybe he’ll give you Hue Jackson after he fires him

Tennessee clearly needs an AD who can find a guy that deserves the job because he wants it.

What if Jimbo goes to Knoxville? East is so much easier than the West.

Call Tee, offer him the job and give him the money to get the asst and recruiters he wants and needs...and be done with it. Now, if Tee turns down "mama" then burn the whole mother fricker down and focus on basketball...this search is unfrickinreal

Does approaching Gruden 5-8 times count?

So THIS is why UT kept Butch Jones all year. They couldn't find anyone willing to take the job so why fire Butch and pay him for nothing? This is a damn shame. No way I would have guessed it would be this hard for UT to find a solid coach.

I think you should lean forward and add AD to your search progress thread

yes they do, their families have vacationed together... one of the small details that set this thing off behind closed doors from the boosters... his resume is crap compared to many others and boosters wondered why Currie was zeroing in on Schiano from the beginning... its because they are longtime pals.. Everybody knows he doesnt deserve that job..
Brohm
and Morris deserve a shot at it though... if they get one of those two guys they will be very happy in two years..

Wow.
Also, I read that Haslam was behind a prior attempt to hire Schiano as Browns HC.
