Hell we hired O for fricks sake.
Napier cant be that bad, right?

Napier seems to have organizational skills and a plan that is deeper than "I'll be different than the last guy".

It doesn't guarantee he'll be better than Orgeron, but it makes the probability pretty high that he will be.

I've said this before, but LSU won three titles in the past two decades and two of them were with bona fide idiots running the show. We should never feel beholden to any coach ever, nor should we be so risk averse that we only look at guys with big skins on the wall.

Problem with Napier is its his offensive system.

No one seems to love his offense
I wouldnt be mad at the hire and think he would do a good job.

Im just ready for a coach to dominate one side of the ball snf hire an elite coordinator for the other.

His long snapper literally had the yips and was incapable of long snapping. The only thing I could figure was that he thought the percentage of winning was better being able to kick off after a safety and putting his D on the field rather than going for it and possibly giving a very short field.

Here are his reasons for doing what he did. Also, I had read somewhere else that having Lewsi do a pooch kick was out, as they had not prepared and practiced for that.

espn article

"We had had issues not only snapping the ball, but the punts weren't great," he said. "With the returner they do have, we're looking at about the same field position. If you go back, and let's just say we net 35 yards on the punt, then where do they get the ball? About the 40-yard line, 45-yard line, right? So we took the safety, and then we kicked the ball off and we burned more time, and they got the ball at about the same place."
