You know, I've alway wondered why LSU was never elite before the 2000s (of course we know it was committing resources to the program now), but seeing the mentality of some of our fans it makes perfect sense.
I would bet you that 75% or more of the O or bust supporters are all these old fricks that are stuck in their ways too. They're so used to LSU mediocrity they consider it "success" at this point. Anything else is just a bonus to them.

It'll taste even better about this time next Saturday

And then it would suck when LSU loses 3-4 next year and Aranda moves on. If you don't think Fisher could do what Oregorn has been doing so far with this team then you aren't worth discussing this with.

I've bookmarked this comment so we can discuss it again. Until then let me know when you come up with some actual facts on how O is a better HC than Jimbo.

He should be pretty easy to get if we want him. Florida State would probably view it as doing them a favor. We use to have a coach who had similar success, but he hit a down turn so we ran him off. Florida State would be doing the same thing in a couple years unless make it easy on them and we take the problem off their hands right now.
He's got to be losing his shine now even to some of his biggest proponents on this board. With another loss tonight, he will be having a very Miles like season in the ACC albeit. Hiring Fisher makes me wonder why we fired Miles. He seems to be at the point where Miles was a few years ago.

Maybe because he's the only national championship winning HC of the past 20 years or so that's still coaching and might actually come. We ain't getting Saban, Meyer, or Stoops so he's the next best proven winner.

Whenever I am sad I can come to this board and get instant laughs.

Give me a resume you like better than Jimbeaux's.
I love what Skip Bertman had to say about Jimbeaux , as well-
"Worth every penny it would take to get him"
"He's a young Steve Spurrier"
"He's the best I've ever seen at picking an opponent apart from the sideline"
So , give me a resume or some endorsements of candidates from respected sources you like for the LSU job.

The difference is that O is actually proving himself on the field not with resumes or past success

To the OP:
Just in case you are serious, take a look at his QBs since he went to FSU:
Drew Weatherford (2007)
Christian Ponder (2008-2010) - 1st Round Draft Pick
EJ Manuel (2011-2012) - 1st Round Draft Pick
Jameis Winston (2013-2014) - 1st Round Draft Pick
Everett Golson (2015)
Deondre Francois (2016-)
There's not many other coaches who can do what he does with QBs.

Preaching to the choir here, man.

Jimbo recruited good QBs. What's your point?
Posted on 10/29/16 at 8:57 pm to Dream Man
Because he knows hot to develop a passing game along with still featuring a running game
Same for Herman
BTW Jimbo wins just fine versus the SEC west.. check out his record vs it..

that's how I view it as well. Can take resumes and stick them where the sun don't shine. What you do on the field is what counts and Coach O is doing it big time
Posted on 10/29/16 at 9:00 pm to Dream Man
he already won 1 NC & 3 acc titles, & has developed 3 qb's that were taken in the 1st round

put Dream Man in the basket of deplorables. frick you

He's a troll or hes just trailer park trash that wants to see someone similar to him coach Lsu
Posted on 10/29/16 at 9:03 pm to Dream Man
Well after reading this board no coach should be considered.

Lmao. So by that standard we would take ANY coach that beat ole miss, usm, and mizzou. Dear god...
Eta: fsu beat ole miss so that must put jimbo back in contention according to your flawless logic.
