I decided to go over there and check out the Spurrier to LSU rumors. It looks likes , despite one small thread, that they and the SOuth Carolina media are blissfully ignorant about what is to befall them. Who knew?

Anyway start reading through about 7 pages of that site. It could be entitled the "Grass is not always greener on the other side". There is even a vocal contigient over there that are talking of Steve Spurrier like he is Les Miles(make the sign of the cross) and complaing about "poor Coaching" left and right with the staff. Interesting reading for the bored and reality driven

I tend to agree. This would have leaked much more in SOuth Carolina if that was the case. Especially with all these Coaching vacancies occuring

Anyone who thinks there's an ice cube's chance in hell Spurrier would leave USC (and its proximity to Augusta National) to come to LSU isn't living in the real world.

I agree with this. I just don't think Spurrier is going to leave. I don't think Tuberville isn't going anywhere either. All that bullshite about Tubby to A&M was a bunch of crap. The rumor mill is just whirling.

LSU needs to be thinking of Jim Levitt - someone like that. Or maybe seeing if Petrino would be interested in coming back and coaching college. Falcons are going to suck it long and hard for a while.

If Miles leaves, then why not Spurrier? Im sure the golfing in SC is wonderful, but I would think someone like Spurrier would want one last chance to show that he still has what it takes to win a NC. He can do that in 5 or 6 years at a place like LSU. Winning it all at USC is much tougher.

That was my recollection. I'd love to see him challenge the enforceability of a number that big.

I don't get all the buzz for The Almighty Steve. Yes, he has the resume, but, as they say, What has he done lately?
IMO, I think his time has passed. He was not known as a good recruiter here in Fla. The recruits came, because they dominated the SEC at that time.
