graduated from LSU in 93, by the way. his full bio:

Bo Davis joined the Crimson Tide football staff in January, 2007, after serving the 2006 season as an assistant strength and conditioning coach and assistant defensive line coach with the Miami Dolphins under Nick Saban.

Davis has a deep history in Southeastern Conference football. Prior to his stint with the Dolphins, Davis spent four years (2002-05) as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at LSU under Saban and current Tigers head coach Les Miles.

A former All-SEC defensive lineman for LSU in the early 1990's, Davis joined the LSU strength and conditioning staff as assistant coordinator in June of 2002. He joined the LSU staff after a stint at North Shore High School in Galena Park, Texas, where he served as an assistant football coach from 1997-2002. Davis played football at LSU from 1990 to 1992, earning second-team All-SEC honors as a nose guard in 1992. Davis capped his LSU career with 90 tackles, one sack and one fumble recovery. As a senior in 1992, Davis started all 11 games at nose guard, recording 66 tackles, including four tackles for a loss.

A native of Magee, Miss., Davis graduated from LSU in 1993 and he then served as a graduate assistant with the LSU strength and conditioning program from 1995-1997.

Alabama's line wasn't exactly that great this year, at least in pass rushing ability. What is this guy's credentials in coaching? I'm not worried about RR but this couldn't hurt...

And I thought Saban pretty much took over the recruiting efforts for RR.

They were not loaded with talent but still stout against the run.

I'd rather Haley though.

That would be a mistake to hire him.

Yea, I know they were good against the run and that was mostly due to Cody. I'm just saying they weren't impressive at all this year pass rushing and I watched them almost the entire year.

This guy's resume doesn't look that good to me, agreed, I'd rather Haley. We don't need this guy to keep RR anyway, I believe hes ours to lose right now. I don't remember this guy playing for LSU, then again, I was like 7 years old then.

yeah, one recruit is certainly reason to hire a position coach. Lets gets Janzen Jackson's daddy for DB coach.

People are forgetting that Saban and Bama ran a 3-4 this year, and most QB pressure comes from the OLB that rushes rather than the NT and DEs.

I don't recall his play as a tiger either.

According to his bio, he has past history with Saban and Miles. So miles should know what he is getting.

I think he is a reach. No experience as DL coach. Assistant DL coach at best. Not excited.

Robinson has some rumors hes leaving too, so if that is true, then I'm fine by getting this guy. That will open up for a DB coach and another DL coach, like Haley. Let Hughes coach DTs/ST or something. Anyone can coach ST that isn't called Peveto.

My money is still on Haley. Remember he is the only other one that was mentioned by BP.

what's there to think about? He won't have the balls to tell Saban he's leaving.

i agree there, Saban has made Bo Davis.

Not sure I want him though. Remember Saban didnt want him here as a position coach, got to wonder what has changed other than the fact he can recruit!!

Bama does not run a true 3-4. They run a 4-3 regardless of what they call it

yeah a former SEC nose guard wouldn't have the balls to tell a midget that was physically scared of Dennis Franchionne that he'll no longer be his employee. Gotcha.

Bo would be great. Anyone that says otherwise has not followed his career. Bo has coached in high school, college and the NFL. He is garnering quite a rep on the recruiting trail. Bo would be a huge pickup. The fact that he is a Tiger is a bonus. I do like Haley as well.
