Are you listening to yourself? There is no proof Orgeron is a great recruiter. He has been recruiting as a position coach. At the end of the day they were Les' recruits.

Fedora, Mullen both have proven they can win, recruit, and sustain a program as a head coach. Given more resources they would be much better than anything Orgeron can do and neither would require two great coordinators to be successful.

Jesus titty fricking christ.
You just said Orgeron would be leading a better program, with better coordinators, better recruiting base and more resources. Literally the same exact thing could be said if Fedora or Mullen were there instead except they have proven they can compete with less resources, less of recruiting base, lesser coordinators, and lesser programs.

The n.f.l. begs to differ. John Jerry, Peria Jerry, Mike Wallace, Ben Jarvis Green Ellis, Greg hardy, Michael Orr, to name a few that he recruited at ole miss.

you're own words come into play here. You don't know if they will or he can/can't.

Who do you think you are? Jesus Christ?

Yet he went 3-21 in conference!!

Sign him up

Mike Wallace was a two star recruit, Michael Orr was going to Ole Miss even if Satan himself was the coach.

He never had a class ranked above 30. Thanks for proving my point

Mullen

As underwhelming a hire as this would be (and I'm not advocating for it), you have to admit there is more evidence that he'd be successful here than O. Both took their first coaching jobs in talent poor Mississippi and coached in the west.

The result? 59-41 and six straight bowl games vs. 10-25 with three total SEC wins.

Most people on this site would never advocate hiring Mullen. Why are we willing to settle for O.

neither of those guys is a home run hire. they both have some HC quality, but why hire second tier? O offers continuity and recruiting prowess.

O is not even a 2nd teir quality. It doesn't take a recruiting guru to get talent to LSU and continuity of what? Underperforming based on talent and expectations?

Larry Fedora's record against the top 25 is a poultry (2-6)against ranked teams at the time they played and 0-3 against teams that finished the season ranked. not including the many losses to unranked teams. In all fairness, it looks like he will improve his record to 1-3 or 1-4 as FSU should finished ranked this year. If Vtech finishes ranked, then it's 1-4. While mullen has a better resume and record than Ogeron's, Larry fedora's is not impressive at all. Ogeron's time at ole miss was in the toughest division in college football. Fedora's is in the worst division of all the power 5 conferences. Let's hire ole larry since he finally beat a team that finished in the top 25 for the first time in his career. He's on the rise, baby!

You're wrong a lot. Fedora is 4-9 against teams that were ranked at the time UNC played them since he became our coach in 2012. Note that he lost his first 5 of those games in 2012 and 2013 while he was just beginning to build his program and working through sanctions. He's 4-4 since then and two of those games were in the ACCCG against #1 (at the time) Clemson and in our bowl game against Baylor.

Also, the ACC Coastal is not the weakest of the power 5 conferences.

It's not just about resumes. Interviews is usually where one gets the job in the real world. In his interview he has shown he can win with Miles' players(the same players Miles couldn't win with). Also, his history proves that this level of talent will continue to come to LSU bc he is an outstanding recruiter. How is that so hard to grasp?

History proves he is a terrible head coach when he has to run a program and not take over as an interim
