Survey overwhelmingly supported O as next choice after Fisher and Herman.

Who gives a shite? That's arse backwards to make a hire based on what fans think. Alleva's supposed to have the knowledge and resources to scour the college football ranks to find the very best guy for the job, based on merit.

But Alleva/LSU made the convenient, cowardly hire instead. They don't have to sell this hire.

Right. Jimbo was the safe home run hire. O is the safe local favorite discount hire.

I wanted interviews with several coaches and NFL coordinators. You know, due diligence via a real nationwide search. Instead lsu gave a 3.5 million dollar a year job to a guy that no one besides lsu wanted. Brilliant!

Fedora, Fleck or Gundy would all have been better

Alleva didn't keep Miles last year. Are you really that stupid?

Fedora, Gundy, Fleck, McIntyre, Taggert, really anyone that has had success as a college head coach. It seems like that should be the first requirement of any HC candidate. Apparently not.

I am glad we didn't get a coach that was scared to play the midget every year like Herman and Fisher

They vetted 10-12 other coaches.

Doesn't FSU play "the midget" next year?

Ok. I think the fact that he doesn't have to play them and voluntarily chose to eliminates your whole "scared" narrative. But whatever

If you think that Bama in our division didn't have a factor in their decision making your crazy.

Instead we hired a coach who was forced to decide between coaching against the midget or sitting on his couch in Hammond, La.

I didn't want Fedora at all - all smoke and mirrors. I'd rather gamble on O and keep Ensminger than Fedora who I think is a guaranteed "meh."
