Where did I say it was perfect for LSU? I was referring to it being perfect for Hackett and Miles, not LSU.
We got screwed late in 2004 to and ended up with Miles, so if Les leaves I don't think LSU is automatically screwed, but it will be a tough position again.

This is a recap of Michigans search in 2007, it was a clusterfvck to say the least. Miles was going to take the job, he had his people initiating calls to try and talk to Coleman or Martin about getting the job. In 2011 Brandon did not offer him the position, he (Brandon) thought that he was smarter than everyone else and Hoke was his guy.

If JH turns down Michigan, I believe Miles will be the next call. I could be mistaken but I do not think they are going to make him not candidate 1b at this point.

Lsu also just pulled the #2 class last year.
And idiots like you talk "decline" and wanting to lose the coach close to January.

9-3 in 2013. 8-4 in 2014. LSU has had top 10 recruiting classes the last five years.
The current class is ranked #17 in the country.
So yes, the decline is real at this point in time. No other facts substantiate another claim.

I know a lot lsu fans not happy with Les Miles. but ask yourself, who is better on the market?
if Les leaves after bowl game, it is very hard to fill the coach position. the timing is bad. most likely, one of the assistant coach will get it. You give him 3 years. usually assistant turn to head coach not good, look at west virginia. so lsu maybe bad for 4 years or longer.
so pray les is still your coach when Feb comes. if you want to get rid of him, the time is Nov.
