What he actually said was that LSU had the governor and players call Aranda all day, had the recruits and signees FaceTime his family asking him to stay, then offer him $2.5mil/year to get him to stay. He said that Aranda had verbally agreed with Jimbo and our AD but ended up backing out at the end of the night.

I never heard any of the stuff saying he contacted us or asked to be on our staff.

But considering what LSU had to do to get him to stay, it really sounds like he didn’t want to.

On Mascona’s show he basically said Elko was their first choice all along and that Aranda approached them. What’s hard to understand is if Aranda wasn’t their first choice why did he turn them down and if Elko was always their choice why did they come back with a second offer to Aranda? Of course Mascona never questioned his bullshite

That’s just it, they eat it up. The more extravagant, the better.

A grown man took the time to type that drivel out, read it, and still believes it. I can’t even wrap my head around that level of delusion.

The Ags are only able to hire a less-than-excellent DC from LSU (Chief) and not the best DC LSU has ever had.
