Les from what Belowpar is saying is out there discussing talking interviewing for whatever positions he is needing.

We are getting a new DC, D-Line Coach and a secondary coach.

So here is my 64 dollar question.

Why in the hell has he not let the other ones go so that way it is out there for people to see to know that something will get done.

Instead everyday we have a new person on here that people are hearing. Todays choice was Bennett.

WTF is really going on here?

a. give current coaches a chance to find something else so they don't have "fired" on their resume

b. have enough coaches to get through bowl preps and bowl game if necessary

c. maintain continuity in recruiting

if new coaches will not be available until after bowl season- who would coach us in the bowl?

I know I know- it looks like no one is coaching now

I understand all of this but more reason to get the coaches before the bowl game because it would give the new coaches extra motivation and some fire into our defensive players for the bowl game.

Yeah because it only takes a DC 3 weeks to install a new system and know his defensive personel

And for the defensive players to execute it as designed....

i would hope our players don't need to get their "fire" from having a new DC they never met before. although it could help, not likely. i think it's a bad idea to bring in a coordinator for one game at the end of the season. let's calm down and be patient, next season will be different.....i hope

FWIW, Tepper's best game was the bowl game against ND, the year that he was hired.

I remember that game. Froze my a$$ off for the first three quarters, then we started pulling away and I suddenly forgot the cold.

What in Les' tenure at LSU has led you to believe he cares what the fans or anyone else thinks about the way he handles business?

Me too. Cold, wet, Mealy running wild. I was so pumped that our new DC was going to be the fricking man.

Les is a trend setter. Just way before his time.

Because the people that need to know do know and they're not going to go around leaking too much info. The rest of us will just have to wait until everything is finalized. Most coaches don’t give out every detail of their plans for anything…hiring of new coaches included.

Maybe Miles is just handling this like shite! Maybe he's handling it exactly like he wants to! Maybe he already has a DC!
Maybe...Maybe...Maybe...!

Hell, no one on this board knows what the hell is going on, and I think Miles should at least make the statement: "I'm keeping the guys I have" or the more popular "Changes are being made, and interviews are in the works"

with all due respect, that makes no sense. Why would you want guys on the road recruiting when their future status is up in the air? Wouldn't you want your new kick-arse defensive coordinator recruiting? I've heard Miles will announce the new DC at the recruiting bash ... ???? Seems to me that leaving the situation in limbo as it is now can only work against LSU in recruiting.

It's all a smokescreen. We don't want any of the other schools to figure out who our number one guy REALLY is. There is less competition that way.
