So if Sumlin's deal is finalized with Texas A$M, where does Kirby

i was hoping for alot of movement on bama's staff. hoping smart and mcelwain got new jobs to throw off their championship game preparation.

I've said it before, Kirby hinestly thinks the Bama HC kob is his when Saban leaves. Gonna have to be a strong offer (not simething he is using for pub or a raise), or something will have to change his opinion in order for him to leave.

We interviewed him and supposedly had him behind Sumlin and Fedora, FWIW.

Unless they name him HCIW it would be pretty stupid for him to do that. He shouldn't take just any job, Ole Miss would not have been a good choice, but it would better to have some HC experience.

Based on the success of the Saban coaching tree I think a lot of schools are a not just assuming any of his assistants can be a head coach.

Mark Dantonio and Bo Pelini have done pretty well.
I think Kirby was trying too hard in a year where there were too many coaching prospects already that had head coaching experience. I think next year will be his year to land a good job.

Bobby Williams who was recommended by Saban didnt quite make the Hall of Fame at Michigan State. Saban suggested to Ship Bertman that he hire Houston Nutt as his replacement. Is he that bad at picking a coach or was he trying to make himself look good?
