What's done is done. I'm not happy about it but it is what is is. It's apparent that those of us who aren't soccer moms and the occasional fan are pretty upset with the hire. All the support i've seen has come from women on Facebook.

But how do the big money donors feel about this hire? They can't be happy with Alleva, right? Has he basically signed his own death warrant with this hire?

Since they've had several months to provide input, and the hire happened as quick as it did, I'd guess they're ok with it. Plus they probably see more access with O as the coach, and that's really all they want.

The one I know is ok with it, he was much more upset about paying more than Herman is worth than hiring O, also said they wanted a coach that wanted to be here, felt we were slow played by Jimbo and that Alleva went hard after the two guys he could never sign.

Does he live in a hole? Would you consider him an intelligent person when it comes to football?

This is so fricking stupid. You think Nick Saban wanted to be in fricking Tuscaloosa Alabama?

If momma is happy then daddy is happy so I'd assume they are happy because their wives wanted him.

I don't doubt it....Ponamsky used to run the super secret TAF message board, he knew the asses O needed to kiss

I would guess the majority of them are ok with it.

Doesn't make sense to me but I was on the road yesterday and listened to a lot of sports talk radio. Pretty much every caller that spoke on this topic was in favor of Coach O. I severely underestimated the amount of support he has.

If you consider that, then it shouldn't be a surprise that the boosters are also ok with it. A lot of those guys are just normal people, just with money.

In his first week on the job Coach O invited a former LSU/NFL player Eric Hill to talk to the team. Hey wait a minute, did I see that Eric Hill is a TAF board member? Hmmmm....

Coach O with his campaign manage Derek Ponamsky ran the perfect political campaign.

Connecting with former players who happen to be local businessmen. Hill's car dealerships. Ruffin and his restaurant, plus his 104.5 platform

Saw this coming from a mile away
