Briles has coached a BSC school,, Sumlin has had a couple of good years at UH C-USA
but I think Sumlin would then get the baylor job

Isn't Sherm's buyout $14 million?
That would be a steep price to pay (if that's the true amount) to get Briles. Not that big of a step up IMO.

....still think the top 3 most likely are Sumlin, Smart, Fedora...in no particular order.

He is polarizing right now among Aggies.....some think he's the next Stoops, some are convinced that Saban pretty much runs your D and Smart is given way too much credit.

I think he's in a different category than Muschamp, Dooley, Fisher or the other Saban assistants that have gotten HC jobs. He'll be very successful wherever he goes. He is most like Saban of any of the assistants.
He does more than just signal in plays. He is heavily involved in gameplanning, identifying recruits for their standards & system, he's a heckuva on field coach. He's knowledgable. Great recruiter. Put it to you like this - I want him to get an HC job and have success so Bama can bring him back in 2016 or 2017 when Saban is expected to leave. I want him as the replacement, but not directly from DC.

I think Sumlin,, while having a GREAT season has les of a record that Briles,, he built UH,,, now has build Baylor into legit teams
Briles has strong recruiting relationships with west texas,, A&M s lifeline'
perhaps a defense minded coach wouod be best,, bet these are the aggies
