I listen to just about all these guys reporting regularly on LSU football. I never hear them say anything is etched in stone. They tend to qualify their comments as rumor or speculation.
It’s usually the homies on the social media team sites who put the more absolute comments out there with very little basis to them.
Shea is one of the more reasonable guys out there and I’ve never met him in my life.

So the deal is not done yet how long does it take to make the deal my God if the dude wants to coach an LSU how hard is it to negotiate and agree on a price our contract you don’t take seven days if that man decided that he wanted to come be the coach at LSU by now. He ain’t coming. Find somebody that wants to be here as my suggestion.
