That would be Mullen that wants to get away from Saban being he cant beat him.. Freeze has a win over Saban.
Why are you even bringing him into this? Nobody has mentioned Mullen. You beat us; congratulations, but try to stop comparing/worrying about us, lil bro.

Supposedly Sports 56 in Memphis is reporting Freeze signed an extension last night of 4 Mil and 500k raise for his assistants. TIFWIW.

This was always about Sexton and $$$ for his clients. Sexton controls the narrative from his end, gets one side worried and poof, more money appears.

Hell, Jimmy could have told Foley, look, help me get Freeze a raise and I'll owe you one down the road meaning the help with the rumor mill.

Freeze isn't coming to UF. Foley isn't going to offer him enough money to make it worth it to leave his "home". This is all silly.

Even if Foley really wants Freeze, he's not going to overpay to get him.

No "offer" is ever made until someone takes it.

True, but he's also a complete Ole Miss homer.

Anyway, I'm waiting for Freeze to announce that they'll have to take him out of Oxford in a pine box.

True for every coaching search that is run correctly. You don't offer folks that won't say yes.

AD to Coach A: you interested in the job at all?

Coach A: Nah, I'm good here but I appreciate the help with the raise.

AD: No problem. Good luck going forward.

That's more or less how it goes.

Foley would never throw out a number before the coach has agreed to come to UF. That was the first sign the report lacked merit.

Sounds like sexton is leveraging UF's open job to get his clients paid.

All of this.

I can see Sexton's game coming from a mile away because I lived it for a decade with Houston Nutt, and then again after both he and Petrino were fired when names like Miles, Malzahn, Butch Davis and Tuberville were tossed around.

I don't see Freeze leaving Ole Miss. He has job security there and is doing well recruiting.

And yet it still hasn't been announced. I don't know if there is mutual interest between UF and Freeze, but until there is something official everything is still in play.

I would too but his stock will never be higher.

He could have easily won 11 games in his 3rd year as coach. He has improved each year he has been at Ole Miss so I don't see any reason why he won't make us better than this season. If we can find a stable quarterback for next season, we'll be even better than we were this year.
