He went to Michigan. They are required by law or something to hire him.

I'm only being slightly facetious.

I mean this is the network that still has Chris Berman on although he's completely sucked for the better part of a decade.

ESPN campaigned so hard for him to keep his job last year, they are pretty much obligated to hire him since no one else wants him

I really don't get why people think he'll be good on tv, yes he did give the occasional good sound bite, but that was usually in between tons of senseless rambling.
I agree with this totally. He was good for quirkly funny, and sometimes senseless quips, but I don't see him being all that good for talking/commenting sensibly and coherently for longer than a minute. Unless all that we saw while at LSU was some sort of put on, I don't see him doing all that well in this capacity unless they find some way to use him in very short little bits.

Les Miles is probably smarter than most of the posters bashing him for "incoherent sentences."

Always amusing a good bash Les thread with some of the things people think.

People that know Les personally have said he's well spoken away from the mic. When dealing with the team he has some weird Boism about revealing nothing.

I am quite sure he is but this gig would be on the mic and Holtz by the way how a nice stint on TV after coaching.

Put him on ESPN. Having another pro-LSU guy on that network can't hurt us.

I'm guessing none of you have ever watched gameday. He's essentially corso 2.0

I hope ESPN doesn't need to recruit quarterbacks

Him or Steve Spurrier should replace Lee Corso on gameday.

Exactly. That would be a great role for him.

You can barely understand the guy, with the marble mouthed, unintelligible rambling and non sequitors. I rarely watched ESPN because of stupid announcers like Lou Holtz in the past. This would be similar.

A Spurrier Miles Corso gameday would be amazing.

On the DVR for sure.
