@mzenitz Sources: Nick Saban confirmed during an Alabama team meeting that Steve Sarkisian is headed to Texas. Sarkisian will remain with Alabama through the national title game.

It’s amazing how a couple years of Saban causes ADs to lose their mind and forget years of Seven Win Steve and sever alchoholism

Or maybe they think people can learn, grow from their mistakes, and get better?

They can, but making a large financial commitment to someone with that past is a gamble. Not to mention how mud they are paying off Herman.

The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior

I figured Sark would get another chance as a HC at a lower level P5 school, not Texas

Texas doesn't give a frick about spending money.

I agree it's a gamble, but I am not sure who else you look towards in this case. They tried the up and coming coach hire with Herman, and failed. Now it seems like they are going the redemption coach route.

I look at UT like ATM. They think money will fix all their problems but it never does.

Yes there are.

Someone can be a worse alcoholic.
This guy drinks 1 bottle everyday and makes it to work.

The next guy drinks 4 and shites on himself

Unless someone makes a major life improvement. People can actually improve believe it or not. Some of y’all sure are limited in your thinking.
