The Arkansas coaching search has been very comical and entertaining.
When I get to work tomorrow, I’m instructing my HR dept to formally change employee “offer letters” to the “memorandum of understanding”.

yeah this reeks of desperation but at the same time, arkansas is a completely shite situation for anyone to walk into and i don't see any coach with a bright future wanting to take on the challenge.

I can't figure out why people don't realize all these successful coaches were coordinators at one time.
Everyone realizes that almost all head coaches were coordinators at one point. That’s obvious.
Pittman isn’t a coordinator - he’s a position coach. Big difference.

I mean Sam Pittman is basically a similar coach to where Ed Orgeron was five years ago, an exceptionally good position coach with a ton of experience.

Coach O wasn’t just a coordinator. He’d already been a HC at another SEC West school as well as interim HC at USC.
And yes to Dabo, but he was an interim HC beforehand, so they got to see him in a trial period before going all in. You guys are just diving straight in with a position coach with no HC experience which is much different than how Dabo came about. What a fitting end to this cluster frick.
