Funny thing is they were all advocating “stay and be happy, build it” “they’ll put a statue up”

I see that none of them work as the sports commentator at their hometowns local news channel, I wonder why.

Reese: "If Lane goes to these other places they're not going to build a statue for you, you stay at Ole Miss they will"

My brother, Lane is 50 years old. Saban was 55 when Alabama hired him.

Why are y’all so upset about these guys giving their opinions?

I don’t really care but it’s ridiculous how much hate there is on Kiffin for considering leaving a lower tier job. None of these people said a word about DeBoer blowing a natty and leaving Washington in shambles to go to Bama.

I don’t know that I would consider Ole Miss a “lower tier job” and I don’t think Kiffin is getting a lot of hate..

Well that was just a vastly different situation.

Not sure why Rece would even assume that. All of LSU's national championships were won by different coaches. We've never really had a guy that hung around and kept us elite.

Dietzel and Saban left voluntarily shortly after winning national titles. McClendon was a winning coach for a long time, but only had one SEC title to show for it. Les was the closest, but couldn't get out of his own way toward the end.

If Lane lives up to the hype and wins multiple titles for LSU, he could absolutely get a statue one day.

I doubt Kiffin gives a shite what any of those guys (outside of Saban) think about him.

If that was the case he wouldn’t be leaving. It’s not like he has roots in Louisiana and just wants to come home or is leaving a job to return to his Alma Mater. Hell, he’s not even doing it for money since it appears Ole Miss matched our offer.

There is one reason Kiffin is considering the move, and that’s bc LSU is a tier higher.

Yes indeed, can't believe we not hearing this enough the past week. LSU has top 10 high school recruiting classes ever year. O had us in the top 5.

Ole Miss can't come close to this.

it's lower than the Big 6, and lower than both the recent additions (Oklahoma and Texas).

Not an insult, it simply is.
