Nick Saban HAS to be the most pursued coach in sports history. I have never seen a guy rumored for jobs more than he has been.
Gruden... and thats just the past 2 years. Go slob on Saban's knob some more

Regardless if he leaves or not, this part had me laughing.
He needs a new source. Saban could leave, but I would almost guarantee he isn't interviewing candidates and it wouldn't be the day after the championship.

Saban has already begun interviewing potential assistants he would take to the Cleveland Browns with him. The source laid out the timing of how current Browns coach Pat Shurmur will be fired after the season, one or two candidates will be interviewed (complete with the name of a minority candidate) and that Saban will be hired on Jan. 8, the day after Alabama’s BCS title game tilt vs. Notre Dame.

LSU fans live for the day when Saban leaves Alabama, If he stayed 20 more years still coaching and passed away there would be a group that would say...."See, I told you he would leave"

Until i just read this, I thought Saban would stay at The Capstone but now the preponderance of evidence has shifted to him leaving.
Sad has set in for Christmas.

Sexton is doing this. Give him his raise and be done with it. It will happen and y'all know it

Saban going to Cleveland with Michael Lombardi as a general manager would be such an epic fail, it's not even funny. Lombardi is such a bad personnel man that Bill freaking Belichick could only muster one winning season in five years with the Browns. On top of that, Brandon Weeden is never going to be an upper-echelon QB in the NFL. Why not wait for the Carolina job to open up? At least Cam has the ability to be a franchise QB. What about staying another year and then going to a talented, underachieving team like the Lions? Heck, even the Chargers job is a lot more attractive than going to the freaking Browns with Lombardi making personnel decisions for him? It's going to be the Miami Dolphins thing all over again.

The single thing that amuses me about how upset and personal people get when defending Saban "against" these "rumors"--- is that they fail to realize, or refuse to acknowledge that it is Saban HIMSELF (through his agent and media contacts) that is floating all these rumors.
If you don't understand that Saban is orchestrating this himself, then you just don't understand how the game is played.

So are you basically saying that Saban is being a greedy motherfricker and wants more money from Bama?

Saban told them he wanted to coach all three or none. You can take that to the bank.

until saban comes out and definitively says that he is staying at alabama, I won't believe he is leaving anytime soon.

Amen. After the DuboseFranPriceShula era what CNS has done is remarkable.Whenever he steps down I'll thank him for the job he's done. Also the Bama HC job will look pretty good whenever it opens. But I hope he retires from Bama and takes the AD job in about 10 yrs or so.

Exactly. He's just establishing market value.
And yet here we are, again, pretending we dont understand how it all works.
