Saban coached against auburn like his heart and soul were not in it. Just saying.

GTFO - I doubt Saban has EVER coached a game where his heart wasn't into it 101% I'll bet he would prep like maniac to play his grandmother in checkers.

4. Saban looked more relaxed on Gameday and was wearing tie colors of Texas.
I recall seeing him in a purple and gold tie while on Gameday, I think it was Auburn's last BCS appearance. I recall laughing about it; but I didn't really think he was jockeying to replace Les (and this was after LSU had dropped off a bit).

Now, the one issue I think nobody has considered is this- he does have one hell of an ego. If Texas has shown it can recover and make a run at a title, and they play some other hot coach off of Saban (well, we actually think Coach _____ is better than you anyway), then he might take it to prove he's the best. Not sure who is out there that you can do that with; Chip Kelly? One of the Harbaugh's? Pete Carroll obviously could get under his skin, but that would be way too farfetched right now with the Seahawks as good as they are.

I think we will know one way or the other by the end of next week.
Mack lost last nite so if they are going to make a move it will be soon.

He'll wait 'til Christmas Eve to break the news.

Merry Christmas.

Why would a sound business policy have anything to do with ego?

You're a little pre-mature here.

Now, I don't think any of this is going to happen, but if it does, I. have gone from being totally skeptical to it being slightly plausible.

This is nonsensical specifically, just as the OP was absurd in general.

Saban was relaxed? It is almost as if he wasn't coaching a game that day. Shocking revelation, if true.
