I know. I know. What are the odds? I'm glad you asked.
When Nick was to be inducted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame, he did an interview where he said this:

So it's obvious he realizes that LSU has real fans compared to the inbreeders as this interview was done in 2019. His biggest professional do over would be not to leave LSU.

It just so happens that his formal induction into the hall of fame was pushed back due to recruiting? Yea right Nick we know what you're up to. He was just waiting to be enshrined when he was back as the head coach of THE LSU Tigers.

The overwhelming amount of evidence points to Saban coming back. Not a reach at all in my humble opinion. I would like to be the first to congratulate Scott on this amazing hire.

Who is a great recruiter?
Who can compete for Championships?
Who is a coach that cares for his players?
Who isn’t in the Conference Championship this year?

Dabo Swinney (Just my guess)

Also Ryan Day as well in that list. Would be a shocking hire from Woodward.

Agreed. I say and think this more often than I probably should, but it's hard not to think of what might have been.

We joke about it but if Scott Woodward didn’t at least reach out to Sexton to gauge Saban’s interest level, he’s not doing his job.

Didn't his wife love Baton Rouge? Or did she hate it? I really don't remember.

And he had that meltdown recently where he seemed like he hates Bama fans.

Big hmmmmm

This is his last opportunity he will have to put those demons to rest.

Look at how he feels about their fanbase in Alabama, He's never been a big cheerleader but never get the impression he LOVES Alabama, look at how much fun he's visibly having as he gets older. It wouldn't completely surprise me. Also even if he came back for a season or two, the momentum in recruiting would be enough to really setup the next coach. Think long game here....

This seems like the perfect spot to jump in.

Conversation I had this morning suggests that it's at least a possibility and is currently active. I probed as much as possible and was given 50% probability. I would take this as BS if I ever read it from any of you so feel free to bring on the downvotes!

Lsu doesn't have real fans. Evidence shows at halftime in TS. I've sat in that stadium during the Stovall-through the O era. It hasn't changed one bit except for add ons and upgrades. Hunting season, too hot, blah blah blah. You're nuts if you believe Saban is coming back.

I mean, we’ve burned the man in effigy. He’s led the enemy for so long. It would be hard to just forget about all the hate

Some act as if he has passed up the chance to return many times. It really was only once. When Les left. Maybe because it has been so many years.
