Ryan Grubb has apparently been contacted regarding LSU OC (grain of salt, don't @ me)

Look it's rare that my Louisiana roots and Washington family get to collide, so this is fun as hell to me.

I do NOT have a source, nor am I saying they know what theyre talking about.

But grubb is a down to earth guy who talks to everyone and I had this dropped over some dinner. Thought it was cool.

Looking into it, he has an associate HC position as well.

Football isn't really taken seriously there like it is here so it's not really big news , and they expected he'd be gone at some point.

But a group of LSU suits in the pink door in Seattle is hard to miss. Need one of those LSU pins for my suits

Edit: MERRY CHRISTMAS BAWS

He’s never really not been with DeBoer. And he’s coached every offensive position except the one for which we have an opening.

These aren’t statements against hiring him. I don’t know a ton about him. Just things that would make it a weird move for him.

Agents are going to be calling around everywhere to see who is all interested. If they weren’t, Kelly wouldn’t be doing his job.

That’s a long flight just to “gauge interest” which could be done on Zoom. Might be something to this post.

Perfect fit for nuss and underwood coming in 2025...this would be a grand slam hire!

He can do the te spot. No issue. An analyst has been coaching them for the most part.

If you’re right I’m going to start 700 threads a day on the Rant asking you, by name, for insider information

He’s coached WRs and OL before, how hard do you think it would be for him to coach TEs?

Seems hard to imagine we would grab someone from a different system in that role, it’s going to be BKs offense at the end of the day

Wouldn't mind it but honestly I want to retain Sloan at all cost. I think we should wait until after the bowl game to do anything. If we light shite up with Sloan calling the plays, I'd consider giving it to him. He's a big reason for JD5's development and jump from last year to this one

Grubb turned down a huge offer from Bama last year.

Id say he’s probably the best OC in the nation right now and only behind guys who are now HC as far as the best offensive minds in the sport.

He would be an absolute HR hire if you pair him with a high level QB.

I like Sloan and I think he would be a good hire if chosen, but I would take Grubb 6 days a week and twice on Sunday. He is a proven, big-time OC. There’s really not a comparison.

If Grubb isn’t just smoke and we did hire him, I would offer to promote Sloan to Co-OC and give him a raise to try and hold onto him for another year or two.

How he doesn’t have multiple P5 HC offers I have no idea.

I think he just received a contract extension,so lsu would have to pay him 1.9 to 2 million a year to get him
