I would like this hire only if he has legit connections in Texas. NFL experience is always great for coaching. I know people don't want to hear this...but being black and relating is always a plus in recruiting. I've been hoping for a Texas connection guy and this might be it.

I can still remember him playing in the preseason for the Saints. Wow how time flies. Looks like a very good signing.

Could his TE experience mean Steve is on his way to that admin job? Wishful thinking?

If he could take WR/TE and we bring back Henson to run the OL and Ensminger goes to admin, that'd be killer.

Henson could do OL/TE too, if need be.

I was thinking this too.

I find it hard to believe they'd hire Wilkinson after one season as GA. Probably would look for someone else. I'd like a Henson as said above, that would be awesome.

Wilkerson.

and I would actually be ok with it. Big Ben was the most technically sound OL in recent memory at LSU. Saban owes him millions of dollars for having him in that game.

I remember that game clear as day. I was getting up ready to leave, game was about to be over, look down and see him injured on the field.

I was like: "I sure hope that isn't Wilkinson"

Biggest bonehead decision ever by Saban. Ruined a All-American's career.

The worst thing about it is Vandy had no shot at even making it a game...score was like 24-7.

Huge hire for LSU. Adam is a great person, coach, and he will recruit his a$$ for LSU. this is definetly one of Les' better hires!

FYI, Shea only retweeted what footballscoop reported. He hasn't confirmed anything.

Like Tim Brewster. Has NFL experience and coached Antonio Gates the first few years he was in the NFL, coached at Texas for many years and was responsible for getting Vince Young to Texas, and had Lamichael James and Daron Thomas committed to Minn until Oregon snagged/bought them. The guy would be a huge hire and Im sure he'd rather be coaching than sitting at home.
