Really? That's what you add? What would be a better hire than this guy?

Did you read his profile? NFL coaching experience, College coaching experience (OC/WR), Played WR in College and NFL training camps. Knows the Texas and Louisiana recruiting areas well.

Adam Henry is in his fifth year with the Raiders, the third in his present capacity, coaching the Silver and Black’s tight ends. Last year, Henry's unit once again featured the team's leading receiver, Pro Bowl TE Zach Miller. Miller caught 60 passes for 685 yards and 5 TDs and was selected to play in his first Pro Bowl. In 2009, Henry coached a tight ends unit that included the team’s leading receiver, Zach Miller, who logged career highs in receptions (66) and receiving yards (805). In 2009, Miller became the first Raiders tight end since Todd Christensen (1982-86) to lead the Raiders in receiving in back-to-back seasons. Henry spent his first two years with the Raiders as an offensive quality control assistant. Before joining the Raiders, Henry was an assistant head coach, offensive coordinator and receivers coach at McNeese State University. Henry spent 10 seasons at McNeese State, where he coached several NFL players, conference players of the year and the school’s all-time leading receiver. One of his receivers was named the team’s most valuable player for five seasons. Henry, 38, also served a coaching internship with Cleveland. The Beaumont, Texas native was an all-conference wide receiver at McNeese State and remains in the school’s all-time top-10 among receivers. He signed with New Orleans as a free agent in 1994 and also spent training camp and the preseason with the Saints in 1995 and 1996. He was on the Saints practice squad in 1995.

Looks like a solid hire to me

NFL experience is always a plus. Also ties to both Louisiana and Texas and being young and black helps with recruiting.

what now?

Lose Ensminger and Henry coaches WR and TE, while WIlkerson slides up to OLine?

Or Stud continues to pull double duty with OLine and we stay pat other than this addition?

I would like to see a recruiter fill Ensminger's coaching duties, but that's me.

This is the best possible hire short of Tyke Tolbert who I don't see leaving the Fighting Tebow's for a college job.

Les is making a statement that he will be hitting Texas hard, as we should.

Looking at his bio, it seems he has more Louisiana ties than Texas.

No worries

this is a slam dunk hire by Les. Adam is an impressive individual. Great combination of coach and recruiter, will fit in extremely well on our staff.
