Rumor: Coach BVG will bring in new secondary coach

Sounds like what I've heard with Lolley possibly having Health concerns might be true.

Funny thing, BVG is my favorite AU coach ever that has never coached a down for us I think. The power stache is scrong.

If Martinez comes in as DB coach yall will just be adding another phenomenal hire. I hate this as a Georgia fan.
As a DC, Martinez sucked balls. When he was a DB coach under VanGorder, we flourished at the position. Yalls defense is about to get real good real quick, IMO.

Wasn't he considered an elite recruiter as well? We have let Bama pass us as the #1 OOS option for Georgia hs kids and with BVG and WM on staff that could go a long way to putting us back in our rightful place.

Ha no problem. I don't know why, but as a DC his defense was awful. I can't count how many times we would play corners 10 yards off the ball on 3rd and 5.
But when he was in just a positional role with BVG as the DC he thrived. They coached together before they got to UGA as well so they definitely have a chemistry. Martinez recruits south florida hard bc that's where he's from. As mentioned, Van Gorder doesn't recruit for shite, he hates it. But he will coach up whatever talent you do have and do it well.
