So Gonzales would be a great pick, with Miles overseeing his new arse.

Damn! There wouldn't be enough coaches to fill the head spot for all 120 FBS teams if you did that.

quote:why is Gonzales such a great hire at OC? He's never been anything higher than a WR coach. UF even passed him up. I'm not saying he can't be a good OC, but there is no evidence to suggest he is "a great pick".
So Gonzales would be a great pick

Gotta start somewhere. I like his enthusiasm he brings for starters.

nah, sometimes coaches (or any other profession) are fired for reasons not their fault. these guys have something to prove and may be a damn good hire. look at buffalo; they just fired their entire staff. don't tell me all of those coaches are bad.

Sure, other teams can hire all of the fired coaches they want, I just hope LSU doesn't. Alabama hired Applewhite, who was what, 15 years old.......

Never fire a coach unless you have one better lined up. In the hand.........

Let's hope so. You always have to have a plan B.

This would disqualify tons of completely qualified coaches.

Belichick Fired By Modell
15-Feb-1996, Associated Press
"Art Modell needs to find a new coach. Modell, owner of the Baltimore NFL franchise formerly known as the Cleveland Browns, fired coach Bill Belichick on Wednesday.... The Browns went 5-11 last season, losing seven of their final eight games after Modell announced his intention to take the franchise to Baltimore.... In a statement, Belichick, 43, expressed his gratitude to the Browns organization. 'This team has an excellent future and I wish them well,' Belichick said. 'I will review my options with regard to my future in the NFL.'"
