He is reporting that the process will speed up... Is this because of texas? Is jimbo smoke and mirrors for Herman? Just a thought.. I'd be happy with either. Just hope it will be done soon..

In all likelihood, this will be the only LSU HC search for many years to come.

Enjoy the mystery while it lasts, 'cuz I can easily imagine the next coach lasting 8+ years.

Stop the smoke and mirrors shite.

It's Jimbo it's always been Jimbo. He is Aleva's man. Has been since last season

Exactly now is between Herman and jimbo with jimbo 1a it seems, I wouldn't want jimbo without Aranda if Herman keeps Aranda that is

I don't disagree at all. But what if you can't get him. Herman is the backup right? Well you got texas firing their coach and publicly saying he is their target... Would make sense... Can't win a bidding war vs texas..

Seems like they're using leaks to manipulate one to think the other is on the brink of being named so that we can secure option A. No clue which coach is which option though.

what in the hell are you talking about now? they havent even officially fired him much less announced their number 1 target. if youre gonna keep pretending to be some insider you should at least know the basics.

the frick we cant. Texas is all talk, if they could outspend the world they wouldnt have ended up with Strong.

Right

Regardless of money there is a limit to what any school will pay a coach and if LSU was willing to pay out top buyouts on top of top money than they can spend what it takes to get the best.

LSU has a lot more to offer in terms of success IMO

LSU is far more built to win

Texas didn't even make a bowl game last season and their defense is hot garbage. Even with all the Baylor transfers they are horrible.

BS...Texas' last Administration got stupid with preconceived notions that Saban would leave AL...Strong was hired for 2 reasons 1) no HC would touch Texas after Mack Brown torpedoed Saban to UT 2) UT is the ultimate PC creature and Strong was perfect in that regard...so now the PC hire hasn't worked

How the hell do people know that UT wouldn't go after a NFL guy or a Gruden or someone else. Let's get real.

Strong's job status has been "questionable" for quite a while. After a loss to one of the country's worst teams, donors, boosters, and fans are going to start making calls. Mike Perrin is strictly an interim Athletic Director. He's hesitant to pull the trigger early considering UT's potentially last game is four days away on Friday (we're currently 5-6 and not bowl eligible).

Texas is wrapping it all up this week and ironing out the small wrinkles. Texas is dotting the i's and crossing the t's.

Strong will be told that the TCU game will be his last as head coach whether we beat TCU and become bowl eligible or not. We'll make our announcement that Herman is the next head coach for the University of TEXAS shortly after that.

Hook 'em
