Source: All signs are pointing toward former Baylor DC, Ron Roberts, becoming the next defensive coordinator at Arkansas. The Bears had a terrific defense in 2021 leading the Big 12 in TOs forced, turnover margin, and defensive TDs. They also record 44 sacks, 5th in FBS.

Did Aranda fire him?

Asking since the article is saying he's the former Baylor DC

So his defenses were 2nd, 2nd and last year 5th ranked in the big 12. So why did he get fired. Is there more to this?

Did Baylor hire a DC yet? Id not I think LSU DC might take a look into that job at Baylor. Just joking! Good luck to Arkansas and to their Bowl game against Kansas. Will he be able to participate in the Bowl game? Also, does anyone know who Dave is going to target for his next DC?

This is a great hire. I’d expect Arkansas to continue their domination of Missouri at the very least with this addition

it wasn’t his defensive system it’s aranda’s. that’s like hiring kiffins OC and thinking the scheme is his.

Roberts has been successful at many places besides working with Aranda.

Roberts has taught Aranda, Golding, Karl Scott, Patrick Toney. Ron Roberts is not like some DC just holding a place, I can assure you that he had a very heavy hand in that defense, not saying Aranda wasn’t involved, but Roberts was not dc in title alone.
