RILEY, USC,NIL

If pro athletes gravitate to LA/Hollywood for media exposure and endorsements, Riley may be thinking he is heading to a school in USC that has unlimited recruiting potential through NIL deals. Whether elite recruits eventually shift to large media markets remains to be seen but USC is in as good of shape as any to exploit it

Who cares? It’s already done, no need to wonder why. It has nothing to do with NIL.

But Baton Rouge has become to Hollywood of the south

People in LA do not care about football. You think a gay movie producer is gonna sponsor a tightend?

Here’s the issue with that. The PAC 12’s TV deal sucks arse and some of their games are on late, so some of these players aren’t visible the way eastern and southern program players are. Who cares if you are located in LA if national football audiences aren’t seeing you in prime time matchups? TV/streaming viewership drives it all.
Also, college football isn’t centered around major media markets. There are very few power programs located directly inside of top 20 TV markets that can exploit this.
